LZ-OO

“It all started when…

…I restored a pair of 1930’s L-00’s. I fell in love these instruments and I sought out to design a guitar that offered similar characteristics but with some improvements and a fresh new shape. The shoulders are sloped on the LZ-00 and the butt-end is rounded instead of squared off.”

The projection, timbre, and voicing of the LZ-00 is targeted throughout the entire build process starting from choosing between three different neck-to-body joints (12,13,14 frets), three different scale lengths (24.75”,24.9”, 25.4”), and two different sound hole sizes. (3.68” and 4”).

Light in weight and rich in resonance, the LZ-00 is a perfect small bodied instrument whether for performing or noodling on the couch.

Band leader on the Late Show, Louis Cato, performs with an aged R SERIES LZ-0013 model in this performance of “Reflections” below. as well as on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert found HERE
